What is Cabinet Refacing?
Cabinet refacing leaves the original cabinet framework intact. The process involves replacing the old cabinet door and drawer fronts and hinges. We cover the exterior of your existing framework with a veneer of real wood or maintenance-free laminate. If desired some areas of your existing framework box can be modified. Cabinet refacing is a good choice if the existing cabinet framework is in good shape and you don’t want to make any substantial changes to the layout. It’s much less expensive than new cabinets.
Should I Reface, Get New, or Go Custom?
Refacing – Less Expensive than new or custom, your cabinets are recycled, there is less mess and disruption
New Cabinets – More expensive. Let’s you completely change the design, add more space, and more convenience. Adds more value to your home.
Custom Cabinets – Most expensive. High quality. Have your dream kitchen, if you can think of it we can build it. Build non-standard sizes to precisely fit your space. Choose any color or design you can think of.
How Long does it take?
Refacing – This is the fastest way to transform your kitchen. If you base cabinets are still in good space we can quickly reface them and you get start enjoying your new kitchen in a 3-5 days
New Cabinets – This takes a little longer as we have to order you new cabinets from a manufacturer. However, you’ll still have use of your kitchen while we wait for your new cabinets to arrive, and then we can get the old cabinets out and the new ones installed in 3-5 days, depending on the size of your kitchen.
Custom Cabinets – This takes the longest as we build your new cabinets from scratch. However, just like new cabinets, you’ll have use of your kitchen until your new cabinets are ready. We can get the old cabinets out and the new ones installed in a 3-5 days.
Where are my cabinets made?
We order cabinets from a local manufacturer. We only use well-constructed cabinets built with the highest quality materials. You can order your own cabinets if you wish and we will install them for you.
Do I have the same options in door styles, hardware and countertops as I would with a new kitchen?
Yes, all the same options are available with refacing. You can select from a wide variety of door styles, drawer fronts, hardware, and countertops.
Can we add or change cabinets?
Yes, we can add new cabinets to match your newly refaced kitchen. We can also make changes to your existing cabinets to accommodate new appliances etc. We can also add convenience options to organize your kitchen, like Lazy Susans, pull-out shelving, and organizers.
